Josiah Lee

HoopTherapy owner Josiah Lee was born and raised in Colorado Springs, CO. Lee attended 6A Fountain-Fort Carson Highschool where he played basketball and ran track. He was a part of a state championship track team, where he placed sixth in the state for triple jump with a 45-foot jump. Lee played point guard for the state ranked FFC Trojans basketball program that recorded a record of 16-9.
Lee began his college career at NIACC where he played point guard for two seasons and is currently ranked 10th all-time in steals and 37th all-time in assists.
Lee went on to continue his academic and athletic career at Chadron State College. A NCAA Division II school that competed in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference where he excelled on and off the court earning President and Dean’s list academic honors. Lee also won the Eagle award for the MVP of the team in 2015. Lee was an honorable mention all-conference selection and led the team in steal and assists. He graduated in May 2015 with his bachelor's degree in Sports Management with a minor in Exercise Science from Chardon State College.
Lee has professional basketball experience in Australia and Spain. His professional career was cut short through injuries but was fortunate to have experience with high level pros being invited to participate in scrimmages with the USA select teams at the Olympic training center out of Colorado Springs, Colo.
Lee coached two seasons as an assistant coach for the NIACC men's basketball team and one season for the women’s team. Lee was involved in all areas of coaching for the Trojans. Lee was active in strength and conditioning, recruiting, practice implementation, game planning, fundraising, scouting, and was responsible for the skill development of all positions, offensively and defensively. Lee was able to develop 1 All-American and 8 All-Conference players in his two years there.
In 2022-2023 Lee was the head assistant coach of the Women’s Varsity basketball program where he headed the skill and development for the ladies. Fountain-Fort Carson High School finished with the best record in school history 22-3 losing in the sweet 16 for 6A Colorado basketball. Two players were All-Conference performers, one who committed to the University of Vanderbilt.
Now in 2024, Lee is running HOOPTHERAPY skill and development business full time working with athletes of all ages and skill levels, from toddler to pro.
